Dan Heath Presentation: Making Your Ideas Stick

Dan uses his own Windows Vista laptop and brings backups of his presentation on a flash drive. He prefers a wireless lavaliere microphone, a clock visible from stage and a confidence monitor. He doesn't hand out materials and he doesn't make his presentation available before the event. The stage should be as clear as possible, no need for a podium.

Dan Heath Intro:

Dan Heath is the co-author, along with his brother Chip, of the book Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard, which was released 12 days ago. Previously, the Heath brothers wrote the book Made to Stick, which was on the BusinessWeek bestseller list for 24 months and has been translated into 29 languages, the last of which was Slovak. Dan is currently a Senior Fellow at Duke University’s CASE Center, which supports social entrepreneurs. He and his brother write a monthly column for Fast Company magazine. A proud geeky moment for Dan was his victory in the 2005 New Yorker Cartoon Caption context, beating out 13,000 other entrants.
