The economic calamity of 2008-09 was not caused by subprime mortgages, credit default swaps, or even excessive greed. These are only symptoms of the real problem. Staying on course is much easier when things are going well. But will you do so under the enormous pressure that comes with a crisis? Can you stay focused on your True North in the face of temptations to bend the rules to get through the crisis? |
| | | Finding Your True North: A Personal Guide Based on the bestselling book True North, this guide enables leaders to identify their own True North through reflection and exercises that target the purpose of their leadership and help them build authentic leadership skills. |

The five essential dimensions of "authentic" leaders are purpose, values, heart, relationships, and self-discipline. In the scorched, post-Enron corporate world, this motivational how-to will help developing business leaders find the path to personal and business success." "Bill's session with our executive group was very well received! In fact of all the speakers and topics he ranked higher than all with the exception of our moderator for the meeting. After his presentation subsequent speakers would refer back to his comments and philosophy, always a sign to me that his presentation resonated strongly. A the end of the meeting the moderator asked the group if we felt we need to do more work on ourselves regarding Authentic Leadership."
David K. Crighton, CSAA
"Bill was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. He really got our
leadership thinking about their own values, what drives them and what they
legacies they want to leave behind. His themes on 21st century leadership
were perfect to open the minds of our command/control leaders. The Q&A at the end was too short, I sense the group could have gone on for a few more hours picking his brain on health care and leadership issues."
Mike Ottesen, Director, Human Resources, 3M Health Care Business
"We had an incredible event with Bill George – he was a great, great speaker and all of our alumni, students and business leaders were impressed with his message and personal approach. Mr. George’s reputation truly made our event inviting – many people were aware of him and what an outstanding leader and speaker his. Again, can’t say it enough – that he was a wonderful speaker."
